Smart cars FAQs

What is so smart about the “smart car?”
That’s a good question. If you are expecting a car that talks to you, does your taxes, understands the Pythagorean Theorem and can make you dinner, then maybe the smart car is not the right kind of car for you.

But if you are looking for a car that uses all the latest advancements in technology to give you optimal gas mileage as well allows you to have all of the things you need in a car in a smaller package, then the smart car may be a better choice for you.

How much will a smart car cost me?
There are different types of “smart cars” available. The most recent smart car is made by Mercedes-Benz. Despite the fact that Mercedes vehicles are usually known to cost a bit more than other vehicles, thus is not necessarily true for its smart car. In fact, this car only costs around $15,000.

There are two other cars that are similar to the smart car as well. One of the cars that is similar is the mini Cooper. Also, the Toyota Yaris shows some interesting similarities as well.

Those who purchase a Cooper are likely to pay around $17,000 while those who buy a Yaris can get one for only about $11,000.

What kind of gas mileage does a smart car get?
Before unveiling the gas mileage of the smart car, it may be better to first think about what kind of mileage your own car gets. Is it somewhere between 20-30 miles per gallon? If it is, you may be the envy of your friends, but that number still isn’t close to the mileage a smart car gets.

The smart car can get up to 60 miles per gallon. That is more than half and up to three times as much mileage as other top small cars on the market. A person who buys a car like this is likely to save money on both the initial cost as well as on the amount of money it takes to fill it up.
